After 30 years of accumulated knowledge of long-term BHP monitoring, Metrol has refined its technology to meet the hostile conditions of the downhole environment. Tools are now constructed as hermetically sealed modules and qualified by replicating the shock, high temperature and vibration seen in the downhole environment. We currently have equipment on test at elevated temperatures (160°C) for over 1,500 days underpinning the wisdom of investing in ceramic technology embedded in the telemetry and pressure gauge equipment.
