T.R.I.C.S. – 2* SRO

The TRICS-2 (Transmit Receive Integrated Communications System) Technology is an upgraded version of Metrol’s highly successful TRICS SRO data retrieval system. The system offers a new innovative means of transmitting data & reprogramming commands across any downhole Production or DST tool assembly.

The new TRICS-2 system is very flexible & can collect one second SRO sample rate data. There is no requirement to run a location device; the data is obtained acoustically by either sitting on the tester ball or by hanging the wireline tool against the inside of the tubing. Although the standard system has 4 gauges, TRICS-2 can communicate with multiple gauges, positioned anywhere in the string (ie. gauges above and below the packer).
