Metrol’s Paragon Technology offers a flexible and innovative method of collecting downhole pressure/temperature data at surface from existing production wells.

Features and Benefits

No limit to the quantity of gauges or tools (such as PVT Samplers, fluid identification products, DHSIT, Venturi flowmeter, gun activation, etc) that can be communicated with or controlled from the surface.
Downhole data from single or multiple locations or zones can be viewed at the surface from the time the tools are in the hole.

• Acoustics transmits across packers / sandscreens / gravel packs and horizontal sections.
• Ability to convert an existing completion into a “smart” well on a temporary or semi-permanent basis when required.
• No high up-front investment costs as equipment can be rented for short or long term periods as required.
• Suitable for producing, injection and observation wells.

Long lifespan

The system is capable of operating for up to seven years depending on the temperatures it is exposed to.
