Wireless Telemetry for Single or Multi Zone DST's

Metrol’s PARAGON Technology offers a flexible, reliable and innovative method of collecting downhole pressure/temperature data at surface from single or multi zone DST’s whether vertical or highly deviated. The real time and historic data from Metrol’s MTQ (Quartz) and/or MTS (Strain) “talking” gauges will be transmitted to surface by Metrol’s acoustic relays that can be externally clamped to the pipe.

Features and Benefits

• No wireline required
• No limit to the quantity of gauges/tools (such as PVT Samplers, MSS Sliding Sleeves etc.) that can be communicated with or controlled
• Acoustics transmits across packers / sand screens / gravel packs and
  horizontal sections
• Tubing and /or annulus monitoring
• Downhole data can be viewed at surface from the time the string is in the hole.

It is therefore possible to view data:

• i. So that prior to perforating, the hydrostatic balance can be assessed and adjusted if required.
• ii. Monitor reservoir information from the initial build up periods, to adjust the test time, maximise the results and minimise costs associated with rig time.
• iii. Valuable downhole information for troubleshooting purposes.
