Paragon 1 - Paragon MTQ/MTS Technology
Wireless Telemetry for Single or Multi Zone DST's
The relays can transmit data from different Metrol “talking” gauges located in different parts of the string. This could be from Metrol’s “talking” gauges reading pressure from different zones or “talking” gauges located above and/or below the packer. It is also possible to use PARAGON to function other devices downhole. Metrol has a sliding sleeve (MSS) that could be used as a circulating valve above the packer and/or as a downhole shut in valve located below the packer. The MSS will open and close using acoustic pulses. Metrol can also activate individual bottom hole samplers by sending acoustic instructions from surface.
Importantly, activation return signals confirm at the PARAGON data collection terminal that the instructions/functions have successfully been performed.
In addition to the “talking” gauges located at different locations at the bottom of the test string, it is also possible to incorporate “talking” gauges at the mudline / seabed / landing string / and stack areas. These “talking” gauges transmit data from any/all of these locations back to surface. This allows early identification of hydrates, waxing, stack temperatures, sand production, slugging, riser noise and real time density changes in multiplelocations in and around the landing string. Also allows monitoring of any differential pressures across the subsea test tree to aid efficient testing operations and reduce wasted rig time and costs.

From a Health & Safety standpoint the Paragon Wireless Technology offers significant advantages and increased safety performance over the alternative conventional wireline systems that require additional rig up with potentially long tool strings. The safety advantages of the Paragon Wireless System are especially true in HP/HT and/or H2S environments.
